Before we get into the details surrounding your upcoming event appearance, can you share some background about yourself, your business, what inspired you to start it, and what makes your company stand out within your space or industry?
Hello, I'm Parker Skyes. I have been creating content and working as a performer in the adult industry for almost four years now. I got into this business because I was tired of being broke and to be honest a 9-5 is my worst nightmare. Bosses telling me I couldn't take vacations and sitting at a desk all day was really wearing on my mental health. Sexuality is something I have never been ashamed of and when I saw all these other girls getting into the OnlyFans world I was jealous! I was like I wanna do that, that looks fun! So I did and here I am. Being a tattooed MILF definitely sets me apart in this industry...it is not easy to make it when you're heavily tattooed AND a MILF. It's hard to get mainstream gigs and a lot of people have a very difficult time and give up. I love this business too much to give up so I'm gonna keep on trucking!
Now let’s talk about the upcoming event itself. What is the event, how did the opportunity to participate first come about, and what initially made you want to be involved? We’d also love for you to give readers an overview of the event, what it represents within the industry, and why you think it’s such an important or exciting opportunity.
So I am attending the Alt Star Porn Awards in Las Vegas June 11th-14th and I am beyond excited. This event is a convention aimed at Alt Performers, tattooed, pierced, and split tongue people of the porn world. It is very difficult for us to find consistent work in mainstream adult film despite the growing popularity of tattoos and body modifications. Most companies prefer a more traditional or even juvenile look leaving us with less opportunities. The event will consist of pool parties, booths where you can meet Alt models and shop for merch, and closing out with an awards ceremony on Sunday night. There is even a "Pro Penis Riders" party one evening, where people are invited to come and ride a nine foot penis that operates like a mechanical bull and are judged by porn stars. I do a lot of work for the company Alt Erotic and their director Ivan asked me to attend this event. How could I turn down an opportunity where tattooed performers come together and are recognized for their unique style?

What are your plans heading into the event, and what are you personally or professionally most excited about? Are there specific goals, partnerships, networking opportunities, launches, or conversations you’re hoping come out of the experience? And for attendees who plan to stop by, what can they expect from your business during the event itself?
I am exited to attend the Alt Star Porn Awards not just to celebrate the tattooed porn community, but also to connect with new fans and industry professionals. I love to meet fans face-to-face...I feel it builds a more genuine relationship. I also want to introduce more people to Alt Erotic, the website I represent and help grow their audience. Alt Erotic has opened so many doors for me and Ivan the director does such amazing work. I am so proud of all the scenes I have helped create for them. For attendees stopping by the booth they can expect to see the hottest and friendliest alternative models and we have some pretty awesome merchandise too.
What attendees often don’t get to see is just how much preparation and planning goes into getting ready for an event like this. Can you give us a behind-the-scenes look at how your team is preparing, what the process looks like internally, and some of the details, challenges, or moving pieces involved in getting everything ready before the doors officially open?
These events are fun, but can also be so draining! Most models fly in a few days early. We all want to be able to attend the event, but we also want to film and get content so it can be exhausting. Convention weekends I am going 12 hours a day or more easily. From the sneaking away to film a scene, to working your time at the booth, to attending the after parties and awards sometimes you barely have time to eat. The team at Alt Erotic is like a well oiled machine. We all work together to transport supplies to build the booth because it takes a lot...car load after car load! Without a good team it would never be executed properly. The theme for the booth this year will be backyard beach vibes and we will include law chairs, inflatable props and of course, hot alt models in bikinis.

Since you have experience within this space, we’d love to ask you to either bust a few myths or share some pro tips with our readers. Are there common misconceptions people have about events like this, your industry, or the work your business actually does? And for readers looking to learn more or become more involved themselves, what advice or insights would you give them?
I think a lot of people don't understand how hard we work. Dumb internet trolls are always telling us 'get a real job' and whatever, but this has by far been the most time consuming and difficult job/career I have ever had. It is around the clock you have to be online talking to fans, posting SFW content, posting NSFW content and scheduling collabs and shoots. No one has it easy and it's not a get rich quick scheme it takes countless hours and effort, and if you have an alternative look it will be even more difficult for you. So if you plan on coming to these events support these models. Follow them on social media, share their content whatever you can to support us. If you are thinking about getting into this business I will tell you it's fun, but man is it a lot of work if you truly want to succeed.
