Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit with us and talk about your upcoming event. Before we jump into the details surrounding the event itself, can you share with our readers a little bit about who you are, what you do professionally, and the type of impact or message you aim to bring through your work?
Hello, I am Railane Alves, the first ambassador of Erotika Town. I am a Science, Biology, and Physical Education teacher, a sex educator, sex coach, and content creator. My work bridges education, movement, body awareness, self-esteem, and sexuality.
I like to view sexuality as something natural and inherent to the human experience, free of taboos or judgment. To me, sensuality can also be understood as a form of connection—both with others and with ourselves.
I believe that seduction is, above all, about winning someone over: awakening interest, presence, and connection. And this energy doesn't need to be restricted to relationships or sexuality. We can channel this strength into different areas of our lives, our creativity, our projects, our way of expressing ourselves, and even the way we take up space in the world.
Through my work, I aim to provoke these reflections and encourage people to get to know their own bodies better, recognize their potential, and relate to themselves in a more conscious, free, and natural way.
Now let’s talk about the upcoming event itself. How did the opportunity to participate as a keynote speaker first come about, and what made you want to be part of the experience? We’d also love for you to give readers an overview of the event, the audience it serves, and why you think this event is such an exciting or meaningful opportunity.
My participation started through a selection process held by Fada, the founder of the erotic festival, in which she presented through an interview the concept and proposal of Erotika Town. I fell in love with the idea right away. I found it to be innovative, creative, and unique in the market, especially for bringing together different experiences and approaching sexual freedom in a broad way, welcoming different genders, stories, and audiences.
I was also deeply moved to learn the story behind the creation of the event and to know, through Fada’s own account, that this idea was born after she left an abusive relationship and discovered her own orgasm only in adulthood, after turning 30. To me, there is immense power in transforming a personal experience into something that can pave the way for others.
That is how I began to view Erotika Town as something that goes far beyond an event: an experience capable of awakening liberation, truth, and self-love in anyone willing to allow themselves to live it.
I have been an ambassador for Erotika Town since the very first edition, and ever since, whenever I have the opportunity to be in this space, I want to talk about myself, my experiences, and everything I have been learning on this journey. I want to share with other people the self-esteem, body awareness, freedom, and self-love that I also strive to build in my own life.
For me, being part of this experience is also a way of turning what I have lived and learned into a message that can touch others.
What are you personally most looking forward to about the event, and what do you hope ultimately comes from the experience? Are there specific conversations, networking opportunities, or moments you’re especially excited about? And for attendees planning to see you speak, what kind of experience or value can they expect from your keynote session?
Without a doubt, I am really looking forward to meeting new faces and reconnecting with people who are already part of this journey. I am also very excited to experience all the talks and activities that the event offers. We have an incredible team of professionals bringing a wide variety of topics, and I believe I will leave this experience even richer in knowledge and information.
Above all, I hope that after my presentation, each person manages to look at their own body in a different way: understanding that the body is our home and that we should be grateful to it for allowing us to live, feel, and experience this life.
I want people to realize that our relationship with our own arousal, sensuality, and pleasure can also be reflected in various other aspects of our existence. There is nothing wrong with feeling, desiring, and allowing yourself to live these experiences in a conscious and true way.
Anyone who attends my talk can expect a lot of truth, sensuality, and, above all, exchange. Because I don't just want to talk. I also want to listen. I want to understand the blocks, insecurities, and issues that each person carries and, within what I can contribute, help untangle some of those knots just as I do for myself every day.
Because choosing to be free can also expose us to a lot of judgment, and I know the weight of that. Therefore, I want my participation to be a space where people can feel welcomed, reflect on themselves, and leave a little more connected to who they truly are.
What attendees often don’t get to see is how much preparation and planning goes into getting ready for an event like this. Can you give us a behind-the-scenes look at your preparation process, what goes into developing a keynote presentation, and some of the routines or details that help you feel prepared before stepping on stage?
Ever since Fada and I defined the theme for my participation, I have been preparing a lot based on my own experience. I've been making some drafts, remembering situations I've lived through, and picking out the points I consider important to share.
I also really enjoy reading and studying how our brain and body function when we are connected with self-love, arousal, and libido, but especially how to transform all of that into something practical that makes sense in real life.
My preparation also happens in my daily routine. I like to take some time for myself, put on some music I like, dance, connect with myself, and look with affection at the woman I am and am building every day. I think it wouldn't make much sense to talk about this on stage if I weren't living through this process myself.
When it comes to public speaking, my many years of experience as a teacher make me feel quite calm. I am used to being in front of people, teaching, talking, and exchanging experiences. And since this talk isn't rigid or scripted, it makes me feel even more at ease.
I want it to be a pleasant, authentic conversation, full of exchange and reflection. And if, in the middle of all that, I manage to help someone see something about themselves in a different way, it will already have been completely worth it
