Thanks for sitting down with us! Before we get into your business insights, let’s start with the basics—who are you and what kind of work do you do in the OnlyFans space?
Hi! Thank you so much for inviting me to do this interview. I am Katrina, a freelance copywriter and strategist for adult creators and service providers under the business Satisfied Kat Copy. Since starting 5 years ago (I can’t believe it’s been that long!), I have been writing website landing pages, blogs, platform adverts, and e-mail marketing for my clients.
We’re always curious—was your business a planned venture, or did it evolve naturally over time?
Hell no! I never actually planned to go freelance, much less become a copywriter. I got two degrees in Law (international and European Law) and Human Rights because I thought that I was going to become a lawyer or an activist. However, when I entered the job market, I went into communications as a job and built my skills up from there, starting as a social media manager and later becoming a communications officer for political startups, NGOs, and later B2B.
Going freelance came as a surprise to me in 2021 when I decided that I wanted to try something new and take more ownership of my career and life after getting diagnosed with vaginismus. It actually kick-started my career into sex tech in general, actually, as I started looking into it and realised that I wanted to write about my own experiences and pleasure after years of feeling like I was being silenced from within my own body. So I started blogging for a few sex toy companies, alongside joining Bryony Coles Sex Tech School. Origionally I wanted to either create events or create my own sex toy, ha ha, but as I kept writing and learning about copywriting and the adult industry, I realised it was definitely what I was supposed to be doing.
I think what swayed me to focus on working for OnlyFans creators (and the wider adult professionals or service providers) was trying my own hand at being an adult creator on Sunroom and failing badly at it (I made $3 overall). So I took all the things I had learnt from that about marketing, authenticity, and building a personal brand, and doubled down on being a copywriter for my clients and helping them with their copywriting needs. I am definitely better suited to being out of the limelight!

What do you love most about serving this community and being part of the OnlyFans business landscape?
I absolutely love the creativity and collaboration that comes with my work, especially website copy such as About Pages, as it allows me to really get to know every client I work with and their personality and create copy that reflects their uniqueness.
There is honestly nothing more warming than having someone read what I have written and say that it sounds exactly like how they imagined it in their head. Or that it reflects them 100%.
Got a fun fact or unexpected story from your journey that’s stuck with you?
When I initially started writing, I used to do blogs for a small sex toy company. I got the role because I slid into their DMs and told them I was an amazing writer, and they should work with me. Within a week, I had a drawer full of their products to test out and had set up Satisfied Kat Copy (at the time, it was Satisfied Kat)
It always brings a smile to my face when I tell people that story, but I think it's also a great reminder for myself when I am nervous or doubting myself and my work that sometimes you just have to go for it. Send the pitch, write the blog, or decide to go freelance because you got a medical diognosis because it can lead to the start of something amazing.

Are there any trends you’re watching closely or preparing for in your business strategy?
I would say there are two main trends that I am keeping my eyes on and helping me with my messaging and future ideas. The first one is the rise in censorship and shadowbanning across social media. Which is such a huge part of creators' marketing strategies in general. Because of this, it’s really hammered home to me the need to create educational resources like webinars, etc., on alternative digital marketing strategies for creators.
I know when people think about OnlyFans and content creation having a website or even a newsletter to send out to their loyal fans is the last thing many think about, however I personally think that these can be a huge bonuses for creators as it allows them to create a hub for all their links such as free vs paid accounts or exclusive content or to regularly do announcements without having to worry about issues around censorship or shadowbanning that many are facing across social media platforms. From a newsletter standpoint, it also means that if your social accounts do go down, you have an email list that allows you to keep your fans up-to-date in real-time as you work to regain access to your accounts.
As well as this, I know right now we are seeing the BOOM in AI models and business, and creators in the industry relying on AI, but I honestly think that we are going to end up going full circle, as people want to see real people or feel like they are talking to/connecting with another human. Whether that's sliding into DMs or reading their latest website copy update. In fact, because of the overuse of AI, we are seeing a rise in trends of people coming off social media altogether. Which leads me to my other trend.
The other is about how people are focusing on connection, community, and intimacy beyond the screen. Wether its dating site fatigue (and the rise of apps focused on pushing people to meet IRL) or the sex positive and kink community events and educational services coming out (like Pro Domme schools, etc.), we are seeing that people are looking for authentic, human connections and when it comes to copy or content this means there is a huge push for storytelling in the way people write.
I also think this want for the ‘real’ is also going to offer new opportunities for creators to create educational resources or masterclasses, allowing them to showcase their knowledge and skills and share it with people. Just look at the growing popularity of BDSM or Dominatrix courses from real-life Pro Dommes and creators.
For me, this is shaping my own business strategy and offerings as I think about how I can help the people I work with create courses and authentic personal brands through the use of copywriting as a way to express this.
