Daniel Valiente has spent his career at the intersection of trust, safety, and product policy, shaping some of the world’s largest digital platforms — including TikTok, Meta, and YouTube. With deep experience building frameworks that protect users while empowering innovation, Daniel has been behind the policies that balance growth with responsibility in global-scale communities.
Currently serving as Head of Product Policy at Sunrise Labs, Daniel is helping architect the governance structures that guide a new generation of platforms through growth and compliance. Previously, he led product policy across TikTok’s e-commerce ecosystem in EMEA, managed policy and risk initiatives at Meta, and worked on global Trust & Safety strategies that tackled everything from organized crime to violent extremism.
But beyond the compliance and governance work, Daniel is driven by a simple passion: to build online spaces where creativity and community can thrive safely. That passion inspired him to join the founding team of GodModels, a platform designed to reimagine what digital communities can be — filling the gaps others left behind, ensuring creators’ rights are protected, and keeping authentic human connection at the center.
