The Ones We’ve Missed: Finding Our Voice in the LGBTQ+ Creator Community

By Lila Monroe | Staff Writer, Only Fans Insider Magazine
I remember the first time I saw Only Fans Insider Magazine in my Instagram feed. It was a subtle post — clean layout, minimalist color palette, and a quote from some edgy editorialist named Ryder Vale. I didn’t know who he was yet, but he was talking about business — not just bodies. About how OnlyFans was quietly becoming one of the largest grassroots platforms for entrepreneurship. For self-branding. For narrative ownership.
I followed immediately.
When June came around and the magazine’s logo transformed into the Pride flag, I smiled. A real one. Not just the kind you do for stories. In a moment where so many brands and publications were distancing themselves from diversity, equity, and inclusion, OFI went the other way. Bold. Simple. Prideful. It felt like a statement — and an invitation.
But then I scrolled back.
And what I found… was silence.
No articles spotlighting trans creators.
No in-depth coverage of LGBTQ+ voices.
No stories that reflected the rainbow now stamped proudly on the corner of their logo.
When I interviewed for this position, I didn’t dance around it. I asked plainly:
"Where are the LGBTQ+ articles?"
Ryder didn’t dodge the question. He told me they’d reached out. That they’d sent messages and invitations, and hadn’t heard back. I appreciated the honesty — and the humility. Because let’s face it, sometimes the disconnect isn’t about bad intentions. It’s about blind spots.
So I told them:
"That’s why you need me."
A Creator You Should Know
I didn’t want to start with a mega-star. I wanted someone real. Scrappy. Brilliant. Brave. Someone still becoming.
That’s when I found Emily — a transgender creator with a modest following but a magnetic presence.
Her Instagram, @transxemmухохо, isn’t curated to perfection. It’s not algorithm bait. It’s intimate. Honest. Soft in the way vulnerability often is — and fierce in the way a woman claiming her space has to be.
She describes herself simply:
"Hi, I’m the one who makes others feel special."
And isn’t that the heartbeat of this platform?
Through her HotAllMyLinks page, Emily shares content that’s raw and radiant. She doesn’t hide behind heavy filters or perform someone else’s version of femininity. She’s creating her own. Her content is about self-celebration — and she invites her fans into that celebration with tenderness and clarity.
With only 454 followers on Instagram, she’s not “famous” by traditional metrics.
But fame is cheap.
Visibility, though — real, earned visibility — is everything.
The Bigger Picture
Writing this piece wasn’t about checking a box. It’s about correcting course.
OnlyFans has become a lifeline for thousands of trans creators — a platform where gender, sexuality, and self-expression don’t need to be justified, hidden, or edited down. It’s one of the very few places where queer people — especially trans women — can control their image, their income, and their story.
But if we’re not amplifying those stories, what are we even doing here?
I joined Only Fans Insider to be a bridge. To ask the questions two guys might not think to ask. To tell stories that aren’t already trending. To remind this platform — and this magazine — that visibility isn’t seasonal. It’s structural.
Pride isn’t a filter. It’s a responsibility.
What Comes Next
So here I am, writing this from my apartment in Brooklyn, still new to the team, still learning the rhythm of the newsroom, but clear on one thing: we can do better. We will do better.
And it starts with creators like Emily — the ones quietly showing up, building communities, sharing joy, and reshaping what power looks like in a digital age.
To Emily, thank you. For your work. For your visibility. For reminding us that even the smallest platforms can carry the loudest truths.
To our readers: get ready. We’re not done telling the stories you need to hear.
Let this be our first step forward.
