When Joseph Haecker, our Editor-in-Chief, called me earlier this week, I could hear that electric, unmistakable tone in his voice. The one that means, “Drop whatever you’re doing, this is big.”
“This is a big one, Lila,” he said without even waiting for me to say hello. “Our very first Australian chapter. And Ally’s leading it.”
I knew exactly who he meant—@AllyAllyWow, our July Spotlight feature and one of the warmest, most dynamic creators I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing. The fact that she was spearheading our first-ever Australian Local Chapter made perfect sense. Ally’s energy has a way of filling a room!
Why This Matters More Than You Think
On the surface, sure—it’s a chapter launch. A local meetup. A chance for creators to connect in person. But if you zoom out, this is about more than swapping Instagram handles or sharing tips on lighting setups.
The Local Chapters Program is one of the most intentional, creator-first initiatives we’ve launched at Only Fans Insider Magazine. It’s our way of taking the fragmented, often isolated world of online content creation and giving it a real, tangible home in the offline world.
And here’s the part that tends to surprise people: These meetups are strictly for creators. No fans. No agencies. No managers. No “networking coaches” waiting to slide you into a sales pitch. Joseph himself wouldn’t even be allowed to attend—his words, not mine—because he’s not a content creator. That boundary is not just a guideline; it’s the foundation.
Why? Because when creators gather without outside agendas, something magical happens. Conversations get honest. Vulnerability becomes possible. Trust is built in a way that doesn’t happen when someone’s trying to sell you something.

Why Melbourne, Why Now
Launching in St Kilda, Melbourne feels poetic. St Kilda’s creative, slightly rebellious energy is the perfect match for the spirit of the Local Chapters Program. It’s a place where art thrives alongside grit, and where a community can grow beyond just the online scroll.
The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM local time. And just like all our chapters worldwide, it will follow the same monthly rhythm—always on the second Wednesday—so creators can plan ahead, even if they’re traveling.
This first topic? “Community.”
It’s simple, but it’s everything. From 6:30–6:50 PM, members will arrive, grab a seat, and settle in. From 6:50–7:50 PM, the real magic happens—small group discussions that get into the heart of what community means for creators. And at 7:50 PM, a quick group recap and close, with an open invitation to keep the conversations going at a nearby café, pub, or restaurant.
Why Ally Is the Perfect Fit
If you read “WOWEE! It’s ALLY-ALLY-WOW”, you already know Ally isn’t just a content creator—she’s a connector. She’s one of those people who can make you feel like you’ve known her forever within five minutes of meeting.
She’s passionate about making sure creators—whether they’re brand new or veterans—don’t feel alone in this industry. Because let’s be honest, the online grind can be isolating. It’s easy to feel like you’re shouting into the void, even if you have thousands of subscribers.
Ally’s vision for the St Kilda chapter is crystal clear: create a reliable, judgment-free space for creators to talk shop, swap advice, and—most importantly—just be themselves.
The Bigger Picture
Here’s the truth: this Melbourne chapter is just the beginning. We already have more chapters in the pipeline for other cities and countries, and every new chapter makes our network stronger.
Think of it like this—if you’re traveling to another city, and it’s the second Wednesday of the month, there’s a good chance you can drop into a local chapter meeting and instantly connect with other creators who get it. That’s powerful. That’s how movements start.
And we’re building this not for quick wins, but for the long haul. The Local Chapters Program is part of our mission to not only tell creators’ stories, but to create spaces where those stories can be shared in real time, face-to-face.
