Chapter Prompt: Rejection

How do you pick yourself back up when the answer is “no” or, worse, silence?

Rejection hurts—whether it comes from family who don’t understand your work, friends who pull away, fans who unsubscribe, haters who post hurtful comments, brands that pass on a collaboration, or social media platforms that shadowban your content. As content creators, our work is deeply personal, so every “no” can feel like it’s aimed at us rather than our business.

It’s easy to internalize rejection, to let it chip away at your confidence, and to start questioning your worth. But here’s the truth—rejection isn’t proof you’re failing. It’s proof you’re putting yourself out there. Every creator who has built something meaningful has faced it, survived it, and learned from it.

This month’s discussion is about sharing those moments openly, finding comfort in knowing you’re not alone, and learning how to turn rejection into redirection.
