Thank you again for sitting down with us. Before we get into the event details, we’d love for readers to get to know the person behind the keynote. Can you tell us a little about yourself, your professional journey, what you do, and how you would describe the mission or purpose behind your work?

I’ve spent most of my life working in entertainment, events, media, and human connection in one form or another. Over the years I’ve lived and worked internationally, particularly in Los Angeles, where I was involved in film, production, live events, and large-scale entertainment experiences. That journey gave me a deep understanding of how powerful storytelling, community, and shared experiences can be.

Eventually, my work evolved into the adult lifestyle and intimacy space — not just from an entertainment perspective, but from a human one. I became increasingly interested in the conversations people weren’t having openly enough: intimacy, relationships, pleasure, communication, confidence, sexual wellness, and mental health. These are things that affect almost everyone, yet they’re often still surrounded by shame or misinformation.

That’s really where SXhibition was born from.

I wanted to create something that felt modern, inclusive, educational, exciting, and genuinely empowering. Not just an expo, but an experience where people could explore connection and sexuality in a safe, elevated, and judgement-free environment. A place where education and entertainment could exist side by side.

Professionally, I now run SXhibition through our company Brim & Beyond, and my focus is on building one of Australia’s leading relationship, intimacy, and lifestyle events. We’re bringing together educators, creators, wellness brands, performers, experts, and communities that reflect the way modern relationships and sexuality are evolving.

At its heart, my mission is really about helping people feel more connected — to themselves, to their partners, and to their confidence. I believe healthy intimacy, communication, pleasure, and self-expression are incredibly important parts of overall wellbeing, and I think society is finally becoming more open to having those conversations honestly.

SXhibition is part of that shift. It’s bold, entertaining, a little rebellious at times — but underneath it all, it’s about education, empowerment, and human connection.

Let’s shift into event mode for a moment. What upcoming event are you preparing for, and how did your involvement first come together? We’d also love to hear more about the event itself, the people it brings together, and what makes this event stand out compared to others within your industry or space.

Right now, my entire world revolves around preparing for SXhibition Melbourne 2026, taking place from September 18–20 in Melbourne. It’s a huge undertaking, but also one of the most exciting projects I’ve ever been involved in because it represents such a major evolution in the industry and in the conversations we’re having as a society.

My involvement came together quite organically after many years working behind the scenes in events, entertainment, and the adult lifestyle space. I had previously worked heavily within large-scale expos and entertainment productions, and over time I could see there was a real opportunity to modernise the experience and create something far more immersive, stylish, educational, and community-driven.

That’s ultimately what led to the creation and evolution of SXhibition through Brim & Beyond.

SXhibition brings together an incredibly diverse mix of people — from educators, therapists, creators, performers, wellness experts, and brands, through to everyday couples, singles, curious newcomers, and long-standing members of the alternative lifestyle community. What’s fascinating is that the audience is far broader and more mainstream than many people initially assume. People are actively seeking conversations around intimacy, relationships, pleasure, confidence, communication, and personal wellbeing now more than ever before.

What really makes SXhibition stand out is that we’ve intentionally built it to feel like a hybrid between a festival, an immersive experience, a wellness event, and a world-class entertainment production. Yes, there’s glamour and spectacle — runway shows, performances, creators, interactive spaces, and major personalities — but there’s also a very strong educational and human element underneath it all.

We have spaces dedicated to sex education, intimacy coaching, relationship conversations, tantra experiences, wellness products, and open discussions around topics that traditionally haven’t had safe mainstream platforms. We’re creating an environment where people can explore curiosity without judgement.

I think what makes SXhibition resonate is that it reflects where society is heading. Relationships are evolving. Ideas around sexuality and identity are evolving. The wellness industry is evolving. People are looking for deeper connection, more honesty, and more authentic experiences — and SXhibition sits right in the middle of that cultural shift.

For me personally, it’s incredibly rewarding because it combines everything I love: large-scale event production, entertainment, community building, storytelling, education, and creating unforgettable experiences that genuinely impact people.

As you look ahead to the event, what opportunities or experiences are you most excited to be part of? Are there specific themes, trends, or conversations you’re looking forward to exploring? And for attendees who plan to attend your keynote, what kind of insight, inspiration, or takeaways are you hoping they walk away with afterward?

As we get closer to SXhibition Melbourne 2026, what excites me most is seeing so many different worlds collide in one space. We’re bringing together entertainment, education, wellness, creativity, relationships, sexuality, performance, and community in a way that feels incredibly modern and genuinely immersive. There’s a real energy building around the event because people are craving experiences that are both exciting and meaningful.

I’m especially excited about the conversations we’re helping bring into the mainstream. We’re living in a time where people are questioning old relationship models, exploring identity more openly, prioritising mental health and self-expression, and becoming far more curious about intimacy and connection. Those conversations are no longer niche — they’re cultural shifts happening in real time.

Some of the themes I’m most looking forward to exploring include modern dating and communication, sexual wellness, confidence and body positivity, relationship dynamics, ethical non-monogamy, pleasure education, and the growing connection between intimacy and overall wellbeing. There’s also been a huge rise in conversations around fluid sexuality, empowerment, and the importance of creating safe spaces where people feel seen, accepted, and educated rather than judged.

What makes SXhibition special is that we approach all of this in a very human way. We want people to laugh, explore, feel inspired, learn something new, and walk away having had an unforgettable experience — whether they come for the entertainment, the education, the products, the community, or simply out of curiosity.

For attendees, my hope is that they leave feeling more open-minded, more connected, and more confident in themselves and their relationships. I want people to feel empowered to communicate better, explore healthier intimacy, and understand that pleasure, connection, and self-expression are valid and important parts of overall wellbeing.

At the end of the day, SXhibition isn’t just about shock value or spectacle — although there’s definitely plenty of excitement and energy. It’s really about creating conversations and experiences that people often don’t realise they’ve been needing until they walk through the doors.

What attendees often don’t get to see is how much preparation and planning goes into getting ready for an event like this. Can you give us a behind-the-scenes look at your preparation process, what goes into developing a keynote presentation, and some of the routines or details that help you feel prepared before stepping on stage?

What most people don’t realise is that an event like SXhibition Melbourne 2026 is essentially like building a small city that only exists for a few days — and every moving part has to come together at exactly the right time.

Behind the scenes, the preparation process is enormous. We’re coordinating exhibitors, sponsors, talent, performers, educators, media, production teams, venue logistics, safety requirements, schedules, branding, ticketing, marketing campaigns, stage programming, lighting, sound, and customer experience all at once. Every detail matters because we want attendees to walk in and immediately feel immersed in the world we’ve created.

A huge part of the development process is curating balance. We’re constantly thinking about how to create an experience that feels exciting and entertaining while also being welcoming, safe, professional, and educational. That means carefully selecting the right mix of exhibitors, personalities, performers, educators, and activations so the event has energy, diversity, and authenticity.

The creative side is one of my favourite parts. I spend a lot of time thinking about atmosphere and emotional experience — how people will move through the space, where the high-energy moments happen, where quieter intimate conversations happen, what catches someone’s attention visually, and how we make every area feel memorable. We really want SXhibition to feel immersive rather than transactional.

At the same time, there’s a very serious operational side that most attendees never see. We’re working with venue teams, compliance, regulations, security, staffing, insurance, bump-in schedules, media management, and contingency planning constantly. Live events require problem-solving every single day, and you learn very quickly that adaptability is one of the most important skills in this industry.

Personally, preparation for me becomes almost a lifestyle leading into the event. My days are incredibly long in the lead-up because my mind never really switches off creatively. I’m constantly refining ideas, responding to opportunities, checking details, and making sure the team stays aligned. But I genuinely love that process because there’s something incredibly rewarding about watching an idea evolve into a real-world experience that thousands of people get to enjoy.

Before opening day, one of the biggest things that helps me feel prepared is making sure the team feels calm, supported, and excited. Energy is contagious in live events. If the team feels confident and connected, that flows into the atmosphere attendees experience the moment the doors open.

Then, once the show finally begins, there’s always this surreal moment where months and months of planning suddenly come alive all at once — the lights, the music, the crowd energy, the conversations, the reactions. That’s the magic of live events, and honestly, it’s why I keep doing what I do.
